Mary Toberman
Mary Toberman officiated women’s college basketball at the Division I, II, and III levels from 2002-17 before becoming the first NCAA Division III National Coordinator of Officials in 2017. She became the Women's Basketball Conference Coordinator for the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC - DII) in 2022 and then stepped down as DIII National Coordinator of Officials to become the Conference Coordinator for the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) and the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC), both DIII, in 2023. She is committed to retaining and developing high quality officiating for these regional conferences serving the 5-state region in the Upper Midwest.
Mary expanded her commitment to officiating leadership in 2023 by becoming the Administrative Assistant to the Women's Basketball - College Officiating Consortium serving 7 DI, 1 DII and 1 DIII conferences. She loves serving the game at all three levels, just as she did as an on-court official.
Toberman brings tremendous on-court experience, having been selected to officiate the NCAA Division III National Championship rounds in 2009 and 2013, as well as the Division I WNIT first round in 2017, in addition to numerous regular season, conference and regional tournament contests at all levels of women’s college basketball. She even spent 2 years officiating in a startup Men's pro league (the PBL) and was proud to officiate the league's championship game in the inaugural season (2008) in Rochester, NY.
As DIII National Coordinator, Toberman established a national ambassador program for Division III officials that focused on recruiting and retention, improving officiating, establishing mentoring programs, and enhancing sportsmanship and safety protocols. She helped refine the NCAA WBB Performance Standards including a rubric for training and standardizing the evaluation process.

Vicki Davis
I am one of the assistants for the COC, which is a consortium of 7 Division I conferences along with a Division II & III conferences. My main obligations are training and educating officials through video and game observations.
I have been involved with basketball for over 50 years as a player, coach, and assigner. My goal is to help you find your place in officiating and be the best you can be on and off the floor.
Teron Buford
Balancing his full-time professional role with his responsibilities as a husband and father, Teron has dedicated more than a decade to officiating NCAA Women’s Basketball. Earning positions in multiple Division I, II, and III conferences, he recognizes the boundless opportunities often presented to officials who commit themselves to understanding and appropriately applying the rules, tirelessly working to be in position to accurately judge plays, and consistently utilizing effective communication with players, coaches, partners, and other stakeholders. Calling upon these skills, he’s had the honor, privilege, and responsibility of refereeing numerous post-season contests, including multiple NCAA DIII tournament, NCCAA National Championship, MIAC conference championship, and NSIC championship round games.
Ang Ahrendt
Angie has officiated NCAA WBB for 13 years and currently works in multiple conferences across DI, DII, and DIII. Post-season achievements include numerous conference tournament finals in the NSIC, GSC, MIAC, and UMAC, as well as, multiple WNIT, NCAA DII, and NCAA DIII Tournaments. The most recent being the '25-'26 NCAA DIII National Championship.
Additionally, Angie officiates Athletes Unlimited, TBL, National Senior Games, and MN Lynx scrimmages.
Outside of officiating, Angie is a former semi-pro rugby player and enjoys the outdoors, remodeling, and woodworking.
Amy Sanchez
Amy brings more than a decade of experience across Division I, II, and III levels. Her dedication to the craft has earned her multiple NCAA Championship and Final Four assignments at the Division II and III levels, along with a recent appearance in the Summit League conference tournament, WBIT & WNIT.
Off the court, Amy lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota with her husband—also a basketball official—and their three children, whom she considers her greatest accomplishments. She serves as an Area Vice President for Personal Lines at one of the largest insurance brokers in the United States, balancing a demanding career with a full family life. Through it all, officiating remains a passion that fuels her drive for excellence, growth, and connection within the game.
Kevin Schultz
After almost 10 years in the United States Marine Corps, I moved back to my
hometown of Sioux City, Iowa and started officiating basketball (apparently, I hadn’t
been yelled at enough while in the Marines).
I started officiating Iowa high school basketball in 2013. In 2015, I was hired by
the Great Plains Athletic Conference (NAIA) and Iowa Community College Conference,
and started officiating women’s college basketball. I was hired to the Northern Sun
Intercollegiate Conference staff in 2017 and the Summit League in 2019.
Officiating accomplishments include:
- 2 Iowa HS state tournament championship games.
- 5 NAIA conference tournament championship games (4 GPAC and 1 North Star).
- 9 NAIA National Tournament 1 st and 2 nd Round Regional games.
- 5 NSIC conference tournament games (4 Qtrs and 1 Semi).
Kayl Hamre
I have been a registered basketball official and baseball umpire for the NDHSAA for over ten years. I have worked NAIA and JuCo Basketball for the last 7 years, and I have recently finished my 5th year at the Division II and III level. I have had the privilege to work multiple tournament games in the NSIC and MIAC conferences. I have worked one DIII National Tournament, and three DII National Tournaments, with this most recent season working the National Tournament Regional Final in Mankato. I currently serve as the High School Principal at Enderlin Area Schools. In July, I will begin a new role as an Assistant Director with the North Dakota High School Activities Association.
June Courteau
Retired NCAA national coordinator of women’s basketball officiating; former Women’s Basketball Officiating Consortium assistant coordinator of technology and staff development; former NCAAW D-I basketball official for 45 years; former WNBA referee; officiated 12 NCAAW Final Fours, five NCAAW championship games, 13 WNBA Finals, two WNBA All-Star games, and the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona; 2016 Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame inductee.
